It's crucial to grasp that smoking marijuana in public places is not permitted in Thailand. Engaging in such an act can lead to receiving a fine or even facing a 30-day jail sentence. During our visit to the four-twenty dispensary, we observed a few foreigners smoking cannabis outdoors. Our reporter also had the opportunity to partake in a cannabis session with Tai, the proprietor of this exceptional cannabis establishment. Tai graciously joined our interview while enjoying a smoke of the jealousy strain, a notably potent cannabis variety. At his first hotel, he did not have a balcony, so chose to go back to the four-twenty dispensary and smoke at the bottom of their stairs. There is a chair with an ashtray at the bottom of the steps. He typically saw foreigners in the front of their cannabis store smoking weed and enjoyed smoking with their staff, who introduced him to Tai.
After moving to a hotel with a balcony, it was much easier to smoke weed without worrying about bothering people. Do not smoke cannabis where it can disturb people; it is best to do it in private locations. It was easy to return to the hotel and smoke his Thailand-purchased weed on the balcony. The wind would quickly remove the cannabis smoke from the outside balcony. Our reporter said it was a real pleasure to have a view from the 24th floor and smoke some good ganja. Similar to the 420 dispensaries, various other cannabis shops provide the option to smoke within their premises or in outdoor spaces. The owner of the 40 Dispensary shared with our reporter his intention to establish a new cannabis store that allows indoor smoking as well. This concept of a smoke bar offers a convenient space for individuals to enjoy their medication while socializing. Interestingly, he has recently inaugurated a fresh location, as announced on their Instagram account, complete with a rooftop area. Our Thai reporter encountered no issues while enjoying cannabis at the four-twenty dispensary. Places not allowedHe had asked for permission to smoke cannabis outside his hotel, and they said it was not allowed. Therefore, he smoked cannabis in an alleyway but he was stressed about getting caught and fined. He has seen people smoking in Alleys, though, too. He stressed that you should not smoke in public parks, even though it's outside. Remember to avoid smoking ganja anywhere people can smell it. This means walking far into a beach or hiking trail away from people is a good place to smoke. Anywhere near people swimming or resting on the beach is a big no. Our Thailand reporter will never forget this lady from LA, who now lives in Bangkok. She stopped to request that he not smoke weed in front of the four-twenty dispensary. She was concerned about them getting in trouble. He informed her about the permission he had and she was soon smoking with him shortly after. |
