The Story of The Cheese

The UK Cheese is different to many of the strains we have spoke about in the Seed City articles, in that the plant is not a specific breeding project, the Cheese strain which is often referred to as UK Cheese, or Exodus Cheese is nothing more than a Skunk #1 selection from the renowned Sensi Seeds Skunk #1 strain. This specific selection of Skunk #1 was discovered/selected by the exodus community near Luton in the UK in the late 1980’s. The Exodus community were an alternative community that held raves and free parties in the UK; they also challenged the authorities on many different aspects of ‘mainstream lifestyle’, including fighting for the decriminalisation of cannabis. The Community renovated an old nursing home named Haz manor, where the UK Exodus Cheese cut was grown out and distributed to the large number of growers that came into contact with the community.
