The Story of DJ Short's Blueberry

The original Blueberry was created by now renowned breeder DJ Short. Back in the 1970’s DJ Short began working on stabilizing various landrace strains. Around this time he made various selections which have lead to some of the most renowned hybrids ever to be seen on the cannabis seed market.

The base of these strains came from two Thai sativas, the Juicy Fruit Thai plant, and the Oregon Purple Thai. At around a similar time DJ short also began to work with an Afghan male, due to the sudden emergence of the thoruogh bred indica in American grow rooms. By crossing the Afghan Male with the Oregon Purple Thai Dj Short managed to create a strain we all know as Flo. Dj Short also crossed the Juicy Fruit Thai with the Afghan male. The Afghan/Juicy Fruit offspring were then crossed with earlier stages of the Flo project to create the Blueberry strain which has become loved all over the world.

In the 1980s and 1990s, DJ Short continued to enhance the stability of his creations and introduced them to the European market.
