In January 2015, the bx project aimed at enhancing Auto Blues was started, focusing on integrating traits from the much-loved Livers strain into an automatic form. This involved backcrossing our Auto Blues with the Livers cut and crossing it with Sour Crack and Chem City Blues. The resulting creation, Sour Livers, has now emerged as a high-quality automatic strain after over two years of development.
The Livers is an esteemed old school strain, cherished in Northern England since the early '90s for its commercial and top shelf quality. Its intense aroma, described as both a blessing and a curse, has earned it the nickname 'prison weed'. Despite the odor, it's highly sought after for its outstanding quality.
Blending Sour Crack with The Livers resulted in the Sour Livers strain, notable for its remarkable aroma and sticky resin. Throughout its development, selection was focused on retaining The Livers' aroma and flower structure alongside Sour Crack's resin production. Sour Livers, teeming with terpenes, is a standout strain that promises future hybrids based on its genetics.
Sour Livers is a compact, bushy variety suitable for the Auto-SOG setup and not prone to grow very large. Easy to manage and feed, it rewards minimal leaf tucking and cleaning efforts with a bounty of flowers. The strain transitions quickly from seedling to flowering, producing aromatic, dense flowers. Due to its potent smell, proper odor control is necessary.
