Marc Emery, the Prince of Pot, got arrested in 2005 and at this moment he is still imprisoned in the United States. The well-known Canadian cannabis seed seller and marijuana proponent desperately hoped he would be transferred to Canada so he could serve the remaining part of his sentence close to home and close to his wife, but unfortunately it still has not happened yet. In 1995, Emery embarked on a journey as a retailer of marijuana seeds, swiftly establishing a prosperous enterprise. Alongside his business success, Marc generously contributed funds to numerous marijuana advocacy groups and pro-cannabis initiatives worldwide. However, his path took a turn in July 2005 when he was apprehended under drug dealer charges. Subsequently, the US Drug Enforcement Administration acknowledged that his arrest primarily stemmed from his political activism and financial support for the pro-cannabis movement. This arrest dealt a significant blow to the cannabis legalization cause. The Beyond Prohibition Foundation has taken up the mantle, rallying support and garnering attention to secure Marc Emery's release. Their mission extends beyond his freedom – they seek to bring Emery back to Canada, his homeland, ensuring he can continue his fight for cannabis legalization. On Marc Emery’s blog we read about his lost trust. “So my transfer application to serve the remainder of my sentence in Canada is dead, I figure.” But we will not give up!
