For its 5th anniversary, a premium indica-sativa hybrid "Yamuna" was redeveloped, crossed with a superior Afghan variant from 1980s seed stock, resulting in "Ganesh". This stout, resinous plant is ideal for compact spaces due to its short stature and uniform growth, reaching approximately 60cm in a 3-week veg cycle in soil. Extending veg to 4-5 weeks suits organic cultivation for larger yields. Ganesh thrives with minimal feeding in quality soil, benefits from its robust landrace genetics, and consistently produces dense, crystalline, and aromatic buds reminiscent of the finest 1970s Himalayan hash.
Ganesh shows mold susceptibility in about 20-25% of plants within the dense bud areas during the last flowering week, reportedly necessitating humidity control and sparse late-stage watering to prevent mold. It's said to be recommended to closely monitor the buds during this period for early detection of mold. This strain is reportedly suited for various cultivation methods including with clones, SCROG, and pruning without a heightened mold risk.
The strain offers a rich skunky smell, sweet and earthy flavor with a chocolatey finish, blending the best indica and sativa traits. It provides a sativa-dominant high that is functional and relaxing, perfect for social activities, leisure, or creative pursuits.
