After learning about the legalization of cannabis in Thailand, we were interested in how it was going! So we flew out to Thailand to experience it ourselves. There are a lot of questions around this new cannabis legalization, and one of those is if cannabis delivery is available there. The simple and quick answer is Yes! You can order cannabis from some dispensaries in Thailand, including the 420 dispensary located in 12/3 Sukhumvit 22 in Bangkok. It's easy to find when you're walking down this street, the letters THC can be seen on their building. Their logo is easily seen on their building with the words “420 Dispensary”. They have stairs that lead to the entrance of their cannabis store. There is another sign in front of their store with the words Cannabis Dispensary, Weed, Food, and Beer. During our visit to the 420 Dispensary, the owner informed us that they offer deliveries across all corners of Thailand, reaching destinations like Pattaya, Phuket, and even Chiang Mai. Their selection comprises some of the most sought-after cannabis strains, including Gary Payton, White Runtz, Jealously, LSD, Bubba Kush, Mango Kush, Wedding Cake, Galactic Jack, and an array of other choices. Upon closer examination, these cannabis strains are abundantly covered in trichomes, displaying impressive density. The meticulous trimming of their available buds further highlights their commitment to quality. Witnessing the availability of these premium nugs at this cannabis store in Bangkok, Thailand was a truly satisfying experience. We purchased 3 grams of the White Runtz strain for, 2200 Bhat, which comes out to about $60 USD. The owner of the dispensary, Tai, informed us that 75% of his customers are foreigners. Thailand has always been a hot spot for tourism, and now it's also a popular place for neighboring countries to visit which do not have friendly cannabis laws. The quality of the cannabis available at the 420 dispensary was comparable to the options available in California dispensaries. We loved the professional and great vibe that's found inside their dispensaries, too. Their staff members are really friendly, and helpful when you need assistance. Types of cannabis products available for saleAt the moment, there are plenty of cannabis strains available for sale. The rules around edibles and concentrates however are not friendly like it is for the actual bud. Hash is still illegal to possess or edibles with the above legal amount of 0.02% THC. Nonetheless, this hasn’t prevented the cannabis industry growth in Thailand. Tai told us he plans to open up 4 more dispensaries by the end of the year. He currently has 30 people working for his business who are from Thailand, creating a lot of jobs for the locals. Most weed delivery is done on the same day within an hour or two. They even provide mail order marijuana service, since it's legal here. |
